Pumpkin Soup
The onslaught that has been COVID has definitely been a roller coaster. For business and individuals alike, everyone has struggled in their own way to find their feet during the ups and downs, all whilst trying to keep that light at the end of the tunnel in view.
Like everyone, Rarity Wholesale has been thrown some curveballs during COVID. If no-one is eating at Restaurants, restaurants don't need fresh produce right? The whole time though, we feel that we've been able to maintain a high level of service to not only the business sector, but also broadening into the home market, providing Fruit & Veg boxes for home delivery.
Rarity Wholesale has always been and will always be, a Newcastle owned and operated business. Our founder John Rarity, started from humble beginnings, operating out of the back of a truck over 20 years ago. Now the business has grown into Newcastle's largest fruit & vegetable wholesaler, with over 20 trucks and delivering as far as Muswellbrook and Scone, not to mention the Central Coast and Port Stephens area.
So when John saw the opportunity to support another Newcastle business in a plight to help Newcastle residents doing it tough during COVID, there was no question. Without a bat of an eyelid, John donated over 100kg of fresh, local pumpkin to Newie Burger Co, a long term client and friend.
